Zoo in Bydgoszcz
Myślęcinek Zoo is a prominent zoological garden located within the Forest Park for Culture and Leisure in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Established in 1978, it spans 14 hectares and is home to over 1000 animals representing 180 different species, including 45 mammals, 51 birds, 35 of reptiles, 12 amphibians, 12 fishes, and 25 invertebrates. Visitors can admire a variety of animals, including hoofed mammals, predators, as well as birds of prey, owls, and waterfowl housed in aviaries. The zoo's centerpiece is a charming pond with an island serving as a home for waterfowl. In the Aquarium-Terrarium pavilion, there is a wide exhibition of native reptiles, amphibians, and fishes in „Wislarium” section, showcasing the richness of aquatic and terrestrial fauna of Poland, as well as exotic animal species from desert, steppe, and tropical environments. The "Mini Zoo" designed for young visitors, features goats, porcupines, and other species providing an educational and enjoyable experience for children.

Zoo Charlotta
ZOO Charlotta was established in 2012 and covers an area of 30,2 ha. Zoological garden is a part of a large tourist complex Dolina Charlotty Restort & SPA. ZOO Charlotta is placed in a countryside, it is surrounded by forests and meadows. Thanks to that we are able to keep animals in large and natural enclosures. Unquestionable attraction of our place is a Water ZOO Safari which allows observation of animals during a boat trip. Thematically arranged islands: Australia, Africa, and South America are inhabited by indigenous animals. Second attraction is a Seal Facility. In the three pools lives polish native species – grey seals. Everyday medical training combined with lecture about seals is performed. We educate people about conservation of Baltic Sea and show to our Guests how inteligent and unique are those animals. ZOO Charlotta is not an EAZA member but we do particie in several EEP and ESB programs.

Zoo Gdańsk
The Gdańsk Zoo, located in the picturesque Tricity Landscape Park, is one of Poland’s largest zoological gardens. Covering nearly 124 hectares, it is home to over 140 animal species from around the world, including rare and endangered ones like Rothschild’s giraffes, Pygmy hippos, Andean condors, Javan lutung and many more. Zoo Kraków
The Cracow Zoological Garden has an intimate, forest-like character. It was opened to the public on July 6, 1929. In an area of 20 hectares we present about 1500 animals, representatives of more than 280 species. Particularly noteworthy are the endangered species: the Przewalski's horse, the red panda, the Asiatic lion, the Amur tiger, the white-tailed gibbon, the Asian elephant.
In recent years, the zoo has undergone significant modernization, with many new developments. The most important include: a facility for big cats (2007 and 2017), a giraffe house (2013), a Humboldt penguin house (2016), a pavilion for pygmy hippos (2023), a bird house (2024), maned wolf enclosure (2025).
Krakow Zoo has participated in the reintroduction program of the lynx in the Kampinos Forest, the Ural tawny owl in the Alps and the great condor in Chile.
The zoo also conducts a wide range of educational activities.
Carefully tended greenery creates favorable environment for visitors to relax.

Zoo Leśne Zacisze
Zoo Leśne Zacisze is located 15 km near the city of Kielce in a nice forest area. The zoo is one of few private ones in Poland associated in the Polish zoo federation.
There are over 100 species in the zoo, mainly ungulates and birds. Every year some new animals come to the collection. The most iconic species are: banteng, barasingha, manned wolf, blesbok, lion, flamingo, lowland tapir, black wildebeest and L'Hoest's monkey.
The zoo gives some great possibilities to rest in a really nature area around exotic animals. In the summertime, visitors have a chance to take part in public talks with zookeepers. A perfect destination for families, nature lovers, and anyone who cherishes the magic of the wild.

Zoo in Lubin
The Zoo in Lubin was founded in 2014 on the grounds of a revitalised town park, whose history reaches back to the 19th century. It covers an area of 14 ha, the central part preserved in its natural state: a remnant of riparian woodland. Subsequently, the Garden features exceptional biodiversity, both in the case of dendroflora and avifauna. The Zoo can be enjoyed by following the different themed trails. The newest addition is the Fauna of Poland Trail with a European bison enclosure. Other tours include: Bird Trail, with enclosures for over 60 bird species from Poland and the world; Farm Animals Trail, with the biggest collection of native Polish breeds; Extinct Animals Trail, with several dozen of full-scale figures; and Natural Monument Trail, with 15 monument Trees. On the Zoo grounds, there is also a big playground with a fountain, as well as many amenities for the enjoyment of the outdoors. The Zoo is open year-round, and admission is free.

Zoo Opole
The Opole Zoo is located in a beautiful park on Bolko Island near the center of the city of Opole. It was established in the 1930s. World War II brought the destruction of the entire animal collection and the complete destruction of the area. On July 22, 1953, a new zoo was opened. At that time, the first breeding of black bears and red-necked wallabies in Poland achieved great success. In 1997, the zoo was on the verge of closure due to a huge flood that reached Opole and completely destroyed the facilities on Bolko Island. In 1998, the zoo was reopened to the public. The area was expanded to almost 30 hectares. For the first time in the history of the Opole Zoo, giraffes, okapis, mountain bongos, red pandas and various species of apes and prosimians appeared. In 2005, a gorilla island was opened, and two years later a pool for Californian sea lions. In recent years, modern enclosures for angolan lions and amur tigers and an aquarium have been built. Our animal collection: 485 species and over 5000 specimens.

Zoo Płock
Today, the garden covers an area of 10 hectares. Visitors' favourite places include the enclosures of Asian elephants, lions, meerkats, red pandas, giraffes, snow leopards and Siberian tigers or Malayan tapirs. A unique collection of tamarins and marmosets is on display in the monkey house.
In the herpetarium we will meet many reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates as well as the famous alligator Marta - the oldest animal in European zoos (she was born in 1930), who will be 95 years old this year in May! In the summer of 1970, Marta played a role of a crocodile in the cult film "Hydrozagadka", directed by Andrzej Kondratiuk. Something not to be missed is The ”Wody Świata” (Waters of the World) aquarium exposition, which consists of 23 tanks with capacities ranging from 500 to 40,000 litres.
The garden also carries out a wide range of educational activities by organising lessons, educational events, campaigns and exhibitions. The Plock ZOO hosts a variety of events and activities in which the whole families can participate. The biggest is the holiday ZOONOOOC, which allows guests to spend an extraordinary night in a tent or under the open sky at the zoo.

Zoo Poznań
Poznań Zoo is one of the oldest zoological gardens in Poland, offering a unique space for wildlife enthusiasts. Founded in 1871 and officially established in 1874, it now operates in two locations: the historic Old Zoo in the city center and the vast New Zoo, spanning 120 hectares of forested terrain. A proud member of EAZA and IZE, Poznań Zoo prioritizes sustainable practices and animal welfare. Its spacious enclosures house diverse species, including lions, giraffes, two rhinoceros species, and native wildlife like bison, wolves, and lynxes. A highlight is the Elephant House, recognized as one of Europe’s best facilities for African elephants.
Poznań Zoo is dedicated to wildlife conservation, actively participating in international breeding and education programs. As an EAZA member, it supports endangered species protection and research, while its IZE affiliation highlights its commitment to ecological education through workshops, guided tours, and interactive experiences.
The zoo is a top destination for families and nature lovers. Visitors can explore scenic walking trails, panoramic viewpoints, and picnic areas. A free shuttle train operates within the New Zoo, while additional attractions include an adventure park, cafés, and food outlets, ensuring an engaging full-day visit.

Zoo Toruń
The Zoobotanical Garden in Toruń is a place of unique charm. Although it is located nearly in the city centre, still it is perceived as green oasis and one of adorable refuges from urban unrest. It is also the only garden combining both animals and plants collections what makes it really a unique place.
At present there are more than 250 animals representing about 100 species in our Zoobotanical Garden and many of them are endangered e.g. Red Panda,Fishing Cat or Madagascar ground boa.
The Zoobotanical Garden also conducts multi-faceted activities to protect nature. It organizes educational classes, thematic events or exhibitions in the Natural Art Gallery.
Although our Zoo covers relatively small area, still, thanks to variety and abundance of flora and fauna, it can evoke fantastic impressions, widen the visitor’s nature and environmental knowledge, offer relaxation in the shade of trees, provide an opportunity to have fun in direct contact with animals.

Warsaw Zoo
Warsaw Zoo is a green island in the heart of Warsaw. The park's 40 hectares are home to over 8,500 animals, representing more than 500 species.
The zoo was opened in 1928. A great breeding success of those years was the birth of the Indian elephant Tuzinka in 1937, so far the only elephant born in Poland.
The Warsaw zoo has enjoyed numerous successes in breeding endangered species. Their offspring regularly enlarges populations in other European zoos.
The Warsaw Zoo is the initiator of Zoo Mission Week, which every March reminds people of the role of modern zoos.
The Warsaw Zoo helps sick and injured birds, which are received at the ‘Bird Asylum’ Centre (over 10,000 patients in 2024). Exotic amphibians, reptiles and invertebrates are handled by the CITES Centre.
On the grounds of the Zoo is the Żabiński Villa. It was here that Director Dr Jan Żabiński and his wife Antonina rescued more than 300 people from the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II.

Zoo Wrocław
Wrocław Zoo is the oldest zoo in Poland, home to over 1,060 animal species. It’s main attraction is the Afrykarium – an oceanarium displaying coral reef fish, rays, sharks, cichlids, as well as hippos, crocodiles, aardvarks, dik-diks, free-flying birds, and Poland’s only manatees. Outside, you’ll find African fur seals and nearly 100 African penguins. The historic Terrarium holds one of Europe’s largest reptile and amphibian collections. Another highlight is the Odrarium, showing the Oder River ecosystem.
The zoo was the first worldwide to breed Malayan tapirs and snow leopards. More recent successes include Palawan hornbills, bear cuscuses, Philippine mouse-deer, and scops owls. Other rare animals here are okapis, painted dogs, Madagascar flying foxes, giant tortoises, echidnas, and turquoise dwarf geckos.
The Dodo Foundation, based at the zoo, helps protect wildlife by supporting over 30 conservation projects across the globe.

Zamość Zoo
Zamość Zoo was founded in 1918 by Stefan Miler, a nature teacher and is one of the oldest zoological gardens in Poland. It was situated in the center of the old part of the town, on an area of 0.84 hectares. In 1980 it was moved to 12 Szczebrzeska Street, where it has been functioning ever since. It occupies an area of 14 ha, where more than 2,300 animals belonging to over 300 species are kept. Since 2010 Zamość Zoo has been a member of EAZA, actively implementing the EEP program, which currently includes 66 species and ISB - 14. Continuously since 2012, Zamość Zoo has been modernized and expanded. Five expansion stages have been completed, including the giraffe house, hippopotamus house, water bird section, bird house with a free flight hall, or Steller's Sea-eagle. Moreover exhibitions of anteaters, sloths, flamingos and arui have been arranged. As the only zoo in Poland, we breed mhor gazelles, Nakheila gazelles, Javanese binturongs and Masked palm civets.
